The name "smoke bush" derives from billowy hairs attached to the flower clusters.
Deep purple foliage provides a dramatic contrast to usual green and oat-coloured grasses. Misty pink clouds of flower, gracefully waft like puffs of smoke above the dramatic rounded leaves. 
AND, it is great for pets!
